Car Wash Training Course Samples
To better support the onboarding of non-management employees at shop locations, I updated 12-year-old PowerPoint training content through using the Articulate 360 suite. During this process, I collaborated with SMEs to ensure the accuracy and relevancy of content. Additionally, I have optimized the existing content, such as through better scaffolding material, reducing cognitive load, and enhancing accessibility. Below are a few samples from the first course of the series, and the entire course can be viewed through the PDF document to the right.

01
Module 1 Introduction
While updating the content, I wrote clearer objectives for each module and specific learning objectives for each lesson.

02
Interactive Exploration Activity
To encourage learner autonomy and enhance motivation, I created an optional activity where learners could explore a 3D model of a shop location. In addition to the learner being able to choose whether to engage with the activity, learners also experience autonomy through being able to explore the facility themselves, rather than watching a pre-shot video or viewing a set of preselected images.

03
Customer Communication Accordion
The original version of this content consistent of an irrelevant image paired with each communication tip in a disorganized manner. So, to promote better comprehension and memory, I applied chunking to organize the communication tips in a more meaningful way.

04
Car Wash Control Panel Labeled Graphic
To reduce cognitive load, I made it easier for learners to integrate the information about each safety button with the actual button on the control panel.

05
Module 1 Summary
The original content lacked module summaries, so I added a module summary to each module to allow learners to assess their understanding of the content before proceeding.
