Assessment & Research Projects
My background in educational psychology, a social science, has equipped me with strong research skills directly applicable to instructional design—particularly in assessment and evaluation. For example, I can design effective data collection tools, gather and analyze data, and translate findings into actionable learning recommendations. Recent projects include a year-long thesis on improving virtual learning and a needs assessment to enhance employees’ use of collaborative software and AI tools. Software & AI Needs Assessment Report
In collaboration with the Executive and Business Applications departments, I conducted a needs assessment using a human performance improvement (HPI) model. This needs assessment aimed to improve employees’ use of Monday.com, OneNote, and Teams and support adoption of AI tools. I worked with stakeholders to identify perceived needs, designed data collection tools, analyzed the results, and developed actionable recommendations. To promote engagement from stakeholders, including the CEO, I created a clear, interactive report using Articulate Rise.
Bonus: CEO's Praise for Needs Assessment
The CEO, previously skeptical of data collection due to concerns about validity and reliability, took a strong interest in my needs assessment. As a broader change management effort, this project helped promote data-driven assessments and evaluations for learning initiatives. So, it was especially rewarding to receive positive feedback from the CEO after reviewing the final report 😊
